What is DoorTap?+
DoorTap is a smart-lock accessory in development. It’s designed so that an authorized person carrying a compatible Bluetooth tag or device can unlock their door by tapping an exterior DoorTap device.
How is DoorTap intended to work?+
Carry your authorized Bluetooth tag or compatible device, approach your door, and tap the exterior DoorTap device. Your door is designed to unlock after authorization. Technical and security details are still being finalized.
Will DoorTap work with my existing lock?+
DoorTap is being developed to work with existing compatible deadbolts. The list of compatible locks is still being finalized — join the waitlist and we’ll share it when it’s ready.
Will I need a Bluetooth tag?+
DoorTap is designed around an authorized Bluetooth tag or compatible device. We’re planning several tag styles; final options are still being decided.
When will DoorTap be available?+
We don’t have a launch date yet. DoorTap is still in development and testing. Waitlist members will be the first to hear.
